Double Glazing Knowledge

The British Board of Agrément, is an independent third party testing house that verifies the performance claims of manufacturers. The BBA, is the UK’s principal authority for the approval of construction products, systems and installers.

They test components, and complete products to ensure the longevity of the products, these days its generally 20,000 opening cycles, to simulate twenty years performance. They also ensure the factories that achieve their standards, continue to do so, with regular inspections.

If you buy a product that has BBA certification, you can be certain that its robust and should easily exceed your requirements.

However it’s worth ensuring the installer themselves have adequate installation qualifications like NVQ’s or specific product training by manufacturers.
