Composite Windows

Composite is a general term for combining two (or more) materials together.

Some people have a preference for painted aluminum on the outside face of their windows and having PVC internally, or the other way around. Others may prefer to have wood on the inside face and PVC externally.

There are dozens of possible combinations, but the product range is often limited to volume styles ie casement, doors etc, its rare to find composite sash windows for instance.

Remember all materials expand differently with heat, so you’ll want to ensure that whatever you chose, it will not distort over time and as with everything, remember that you may love green windows outside and red inside, but you may find buyers are put off when it comes to selling!
