Being a member of TrustMark, means that;

A firm's technical skills have been independently checked through regular on-site inspections, as well as checks on their trading record and financial status. They have signed up to a code of practice that includes insurance, good health and safety practices and customer care

The approved scheme operator has checked and will continue to monitor the firm's quality of work, trading practices and customer satisfaction, that they are able to offer an Insurance Backed Warranty and that a Deposit Protection Insurance is available to protect you against a firm ceasing to trade.

These companies will be able to tell you about any building regulations you must comply with and may also be able to provide appropriate certificates and should you have a problem or disagreement with the firm, there will be a clear and user- friendly complaints procedure to help resolve the issue.

The scheme is fully supported by Government, the building industry and consumer protection groups all of which means that checks will give you, Peace of Mind knowing you are dealing with a reputable company.

Trustmark have approved "scheme operators" like the GGF to administer the scheme rules are being adhered to. Unlike many other schemes, Trustmark is supported by the Government which looks to find established, trusted companies who understand standards, and work to them. Like all accreditations, you should make your own inquiries to confirm the membership of a business is still current (or was legitimate in the first place). Many companies let memberships lapse, or display web sites from an earlier company with a variety of claims or just very slow to remove “old” logos!

To verify that a company is registered with Trustmark, please search their website http://www.trustmark.org.uk/, call them on 01344 666 104 (they operate 24/7) or send them an email at info@trustmark.org.uk.
